Visit to the Novitec Group in Stetten

I arrived in Munich shortly before the Christmas holidays. From there, I made my way to the small village of Stetten, around 130 km away, to meet the management of one of the world’s best-known specialist tuning ateliers for exotic cars, tune the ECUs on my client’s vehicle, and take a tour through the company’s facilities. A few winding turns later, I was standing in front of the new main showroom of the Novitec group.

Showrooms at Novitec

The main hall welcomed me with some of the latest Novitec show cars: the McLaren 570S, Ferrari GTC4 Lusso V12, Rolls-Royce Dawn Overdose, and Maserati Levante Esteso.

In the right corner of the showroom, there was a client area where details such as interior trim or wheel finish could be discussed in a calm and private setting.

The Maserati Levante Esteso had just returned from another presentation and had not yet been fully prepared for display.

Near the small bar area, where I had coffee while discussing current projects and plans, stood a Ferrari GTC4 Lusso V12 that was also offered for sale at the time. If you’re interested in similar vehicles or sourcing opportunities, please contact GT Factory.

The McLaren 570S partially blocked the view of the bar, and that is exactly where I captured it from a rear three-quarter angle. After coffee, the visit continued into what can fairly be called the inner world of Novitec.

In the building on the left, which was the company’s first and only building at the time of its founding, I found a Christmas installation with a miniature railway and model scenery inspired by the local surroundings.

The Novitec team had decorated the space for the holiday season with a Christmas tree, lights, and festive details.

According to the company’s management, Stetten has a population of only a little over 1,000 people, yet children from nearby areas would come in the evenings to look through the showroom window at the display.

Working Areas at Novitec

The visit then continued through the storage areas, where completed exterior parts, exhaust systems, wheels, and suspension kits were kept.

The tire mounting and wheel balancing area was equipped to a very high standard.

Large boxes held complete Overdose kits for the Rolls-Royce Dawn, while the shelves opposite were filled with spacers, adapters in different thicknesses, and titanium wheel hardware.

There were also Pirelli tires, wheels, and wheel inners ready for finishing.

Next came the assembly area. This is where freshly painted components arrive for final assembly. The level of cleanliness felt closer to a surgical department than to a typical workshop.

One of the cars present was one of only 11 Ferrari F12 N-Largo builds by Novitec.

Seeing a Ferrari F12 TDF in person is rare in itself. This particular car had arrived at the workshop for further upgrades.

But let’s stop talking about Ferraris. Another standout was a Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV in full Novitec specification.

The center-lock wheels developed together with Vossen specifically for the SV looked especially strong in person.

The hood for the Aventador was one of the biggest surprises of the visit. In photos published online it had seemed fairly plain, but in real life it looked far more convincing. Additionally, this hood is not just a visual element. Its design also serves a clear engineering purpose, with integrated air channels that help increase downforce on the front axle.

The Novitec Courtyard

From the assembly area, I stepped into the inner courtyard, where three rotating glass garages had been installed. Each garage featured a sloped roof covered with solar panels.

These garages housed both Novitec show cars and vehicles belonging to valued clients.

Closing Notes

The visit ended back at the bar with another coffee, followed by lunch in a nearby village. During lunch, the conversation moved beyond current business and into more personal topics.

After returning, I loaded parts for my client into the trunk, received catalogs and T-shirts, had one last coffee, and got a clear sense that trust in GT Factory had grown noticeably. On that note, I said goodbye and headed back to Munich.

The next day included a planned visit to Motorworld Stuttgart, but that is a story for another time.

Now it is time to get back to work on several interesting projects. Stay with GT Factory — there is much more ahead.
