Summer Car Festival in Böblingen 2013, Part 2
More Cars, More Variety
This is the second part of my photo report from the Summer Car Festival in Böblingen in 2013. The former Lufthansa airport site, now home to a large dealer center for exotic and classic cars, welcomed enthusiasts from across Germany and other parts of Europe.

An Open and Relaxed Format
Entry to the festival grounds was free. I had seen the same idea at a youngtimer festival in Moscow, and I liked it there as well. It makes the whole event feel more open and more welcoming.

Both car clubs and individual enthusiasts had taken their places across the site.

They showed off their machines and, of course, their carefully polished wheels.

Everything from Old-Timers to Exotics
Walking between the rows, I could see an impressive mix of machinery. There were youngtimers, oldtimers, modern exotics, supercars, and even kit cars.

Some of the most memorable cars were proper sporting legends, such as this track-prepared Porsche 914.

Then there were elegant classics of a very different kind, like this Alfa Romeo.
